Honestly, sometimes we questioned our decision to move to Barcelona. It was tough for me to find a job, we worried about our daughters in the States and our family had challenges. But we embraced the experience, started hiking with India, travelled to places we had never been before like Morocco, the Greek Islands, Portugal and Croatia. We made new friends who will now be friends forever. We tried new foods and learned how to speak Spanish, somewhat. We experienced a revolution and appreciated the passion of the people Catalan people.
We were ready to come home and we are glad we did. We are close to our family who need our support. Lucie is living with us which is fun and Kathleen is just a couple of hours away via a direct flight. We are here to celebrate all of the good things in life along with the challenges. Bucky is working at the College of Charleston which is perfect for him. He and I carpool into Charleston together each morning and he takes the bus home, public transportation being a nice remnant of our days in Barcelona. I am back at Snagajob, my employer from before Barcelona and I am happy with my job. I am traveling to India for it this week in fact!
